Here's the million dollar question. When Dan Boyle says he's not going to sign with the isles what does Garth snow do to address the need for a pp quarterback. Whether anyone liked or hated AMAC, who takes over his 25 min a night?

Random question of the day: why does Garth snow keep trading for guys who aren't locked up? It's phucking embarrassing to have all these guys publically snub the isles. Why does this keep happening???

The only chance he has at signing legit players is trading for exclusive negotiations windows. He can't have another team chirping in the ear of a guy he's targeting and expect to sign him. I really don't have a problem moving a fifth rounder for a chance to convince a guy like Boyle to sign on.

I'll go out on a limb an say that quite possible another reason maybe no one would like to sign here is bc of a NO name coach? It prob could help if Isles at least had a NHL caliber coach.....

Here's a thought experiment - How many 4th, 5th or 6th round picks would you want in return for each of these players:

A. Cizikas
B. Martin
C. Grabner
D. Clutterbuck

This isn't to say that these guys aren't good or they don't have value, but to say that late round picks are expendable. Yes, you can hit the jackpot in the late round. Yes, good players have and will be found there. Yes, no pick should be traded away for nothing. However, we all dumped on Snow for the bad D. He took a chance to address it. If it doesn't work out it will only cost a 5th round pick - who freakin' cares! I want a better GM, but you can't fault Snow for this move.
