I get what u are trying to do, but u cant compare the BLUES to the Isles....
- Ur Not Me
of course not...and im not comparing the blues defense to the islanders defense.
it was more to get a ballpark figure and truthfully i dont think its that far off. would most not agree that halak is good for 7-9 wins more than nabby?
(also when halak was on the blues, he was in the much tougher western conference) |

There are only a few goalies that can take over games. They are playing in the finals.
Halak well he is good, is not game changing. If you have defense that consistently breaks down, a good goalie is not going to make much difference.
I have no idea what to expect from the NYI this year. Until we see what kind of moves are made at the draft/FA - ImThatGuy
I never said Halak was a game changer. I said he is a good goalie and a major upgrade for the isles in net. The D still needs work but it wasn't all their fault last year. The goalies gave up a ton of soft goals last year a ton. I agree on the offseason as a wait and see but I'd expect them to be busy this summer |

In all fairness, the Blues have better players on offense, tremendously better D, winning pedigree coach & system, so no, I can't predict what Halak could do here on a much flawed team than Blues. U technically can't assume either. |

Well the only person Boyle would probably know would be Nabby.
Who know what Nabby is saying...lol.
Boyle has never really played on the east coast... so that can be an issue too.
Either way I'm ok with it... what boggles me is why O'Neil calls himself
O Dog...

so much for taking it with a grain of salt...
lets put everything else aside.
who would you rather have:
player A: 38 year old with a career .912 save% whose played 39.5K minutes
player B: 29 year old with a career .918 save% whose played 15.5K minutes

My bad, I prefer sugar than salt
How about player C ???
All joking aside, I would take Halak any day of the week over Nabby. But we can't compare what a player can do here when the isles are flawed. Can Halak make a difference, yes, but how much when this team has lousy D, coach, no system and have secondary scoring issues. |

I get the point, and maybe we think that Halak can be 7-9 wins better, but w/this D assembled and the season started tomorrow, I'll say 5 more wins as possible. Keep in mind that Halak is a good G but also very streaky |
