It's never a non issue with the cap restrictions this team puts on itself year after year.
I'd rather have Emery back than anything. That's choice #1 for me. - Giroux_Is_God
I think there are better options out there (Svedberg would be my #1, or maybe Stalock or Hackett), but there are worse options, too. But yes, Emery at around $1M or so would be fine. |

I think the player will agree to be traded. Staying here playing 4th center can't be what he wants.
How much salary they have to retain will be interesting - Marc D
He's already agreed to be traded if his agent is contacting the GM about moving him. Thy need to get a list of "Hey! Not there!" teams together and get it done. |

Has there been anything from Emery, about what he is looking for?
I don't imagine he is still holding out hope of being the #1 guy somewhere at this point, but who knows what he is thinking. - Marc D
Yeah I haven't heard anything. I'd probably guess- and this is just a guess- 1-1.3ish. Which, isn't too bad, but I'd like for them to have a backup on the lower end of that hypothetical range. Like what was just said- Emery is capable and that's key in a goalie tandem.
Heading to the bargain bin could prove costly not in the budget, but for the playoff race |

I'm hoping to just avoid the pain. I surely don't want to eat salary and I don't want someone else's contract back. I'm ready to trade some guys for picks and get a couple of our prospects in the lineup. - mayorofangrytown
I think and hope we are going to see Hextall make these kind of moves.
I like the French guy signing.
What he does with BSchenn will be telling.
A two yr bridge contract under 3 per yr would be ideal. |

I think Hextall's gonna hold the line on Schenn -- I just don't see someone who is a new GM bending on what should clearly be a bridge contract.
It won't have anything to do with his fiery personality on the ice, either. On the contrary, I think Hextall's patience, which he says he has, will serve him well on this one.

It's awesome in salads, in moderation! Don't go making a prosciutto ham sandwich, and you are good to go! |

How much did it cost?
If it was less than $15 per pound, it was cheap and most likely disgusting. |

Proscuitto is best enjoyed thinly sliced. Good proscuitto has an overwhelming flavor. |

And it must be called "pruhzhoot"
And when he says thinly sliced, he means being able to almost see through it. No joke. |

I think Hextall holds the cards here. Have to play hardball here. I don't think Schenn is in the position of getting a deal like JVR or Simmonds got.

It's worth a splurge to get the real thing. The kind where they slice it right off the whole leg.
You only need a slice or two because its salty.
The prepackaged stuff is not worth eating.

Exactly.
I worked in a deli/hoagie place in my youth. Good, thinly sliced "pruhzhoot" is awesome on sandwiches, but it should complement the other sandwich components....not overwhelm them.
Melon with proscuitto in the summertime is also awesome. |

I like to wrap it around shrimp with a piece of basil in between the shrimp and prosciutto and grill them on skewers. Works with halibut cut into chunks too. |
