It was boruk not Timmy. That's not true is it - Just5
If it was true, why would anyone buyout a player? Flyers could have eaten money and traded Briere for a pick and removed his cap hit. |

i don't read the local clowns, but i just stumble upon this piece about primeau. happy for him that he's healthy finally. sad for him that he was robbed of the final 6 years or so of his career. even madder to read these quotes from himself and hitch about the lost opportunity in 2004. that was a (frank)ing cup team, gddamnit. |

I don't think it is true. Like has been said, all sorts of teams would be trading overpriced players for 50 cents on the dollar if they were losing the whole cap hit.

don't hate me. it's not my fault they suffered all those injuries. i lived and died with that team, which was the final time the league has some semblance of purity to it before the lockout destroyed everything.
i love that team only behind the mid-80s flyers as my all-time favorite. |

Holy hell. In Tim's blog he said if the flyers retain a portion of the money in a vinny deal, the entire cap hit is transferable? Is that right? - Just5
No it's not right. The retained percentage must be the same for both salary and cap hit.

i was 31 then. and believed in my bones that the hockey gods would do right by me in my 31st year in honor and payback for the loss of my hero and all of my suffering and they f'ed me without any lube. |

I was 16 and I still remember the series so vividly. I remember having a french class with a few friends who were Flyers fans. We were allowed to discuss the Flyers as much as we wanted as long as it was in french.
I'll never forget Game 6. |

i became a season ticket holder that year and witnessed the ride in person. it was glorious. game 6 is by far the greatest live flyers game i ever attended, and i've been to some great ones, including game 5 against the habs in 2010 when they advanced to the final. i am actually visible in the stands for a brief moment just above the zamboni tunnel where they celebrate gagne's ot goal.
that playoff run was something else. they should have won. |
