I know 2015 will be a great draft year, it's just that I felt they were close enough this year not to " take a huge step back"
I think iHextall won't make bad UFA moves, but I think he could pull off a great hockey trade. A trade that will address the biggest weakness on the team. - 3flyerkids
I truly hope you are right. |

Yeah, it's a shallow pool, but like last summer, there will be value options. Better not to get fixated on just the top guys.
Fayne is definitely a really steady, underrated guy. Ranger's still got about 10-20% before he regains his pre-break form. Nikitin, Diaz and Redmond could be capable of making an impact. - Tomahawk
They really need two guys. Someone able to take (at least) top-4 minutes, and another guy to pair with Luke Schenn on the 3rd pair - which is where I think guys like Nikitin, Diaz and Redmond fall (not sure which ones are more suited for the left side, since Luke is a RD). |

Parentau presumably is someone he wants to sign |

Players evolve and grow and get better. You can look at a lot of players and say, "this is what they were before they got better". It's pretty obvious watching the playoffs that Stralman has grown into a solid top 4 defenseman. And again, what's the price, if the bidding wars of free agency drive the price to high, you pass. And look to other options. But it's something the Flyers should definitely explore. - MJL
He's a system defender, much like Bryz was a system goalie. AV's been a godsend for him. |

I finally got the first one. I have no idea who Perronteau is.

Would have preferred Hjalmarsson or Rasmussen, but Bellemare's a pretty decent consolation prize.
I'm surprised they didn't go after Bud Holloway, too, considering how familiar Hexy is with him from his LA days. - Tomahawk
What's the knock on Holloway? He was a pretty decent AHL player, and according to NHL13, he won't sign a 2-way contract. |

Ok Perronteau means either Perron or Parenteau. Pebbles comes from the reddit comment thread on Bellemare's signing which derives Pebbles from PEB (Pierre-Eduard Bellemare) |

What's his potential?
I just drafted a LW and D with the top 2 picks overall. 84 and 86 out of the draft respectably, both with 5 star green potential |

So if Pebbles becomes Bellemare's nickname if we sign a new D-man is he BAM-BAM? |

No clue... he bailed on the Kings ultra-early to go overseas. Always struck me as a guy who would have an NHL career if he wanted it. |

I see the temptation but I think I would go after a player that provides more of a guarantee. A defenseman who's more legit. I'm still not sold on MacDonald. This isn't to say MacDonald is a bad player but we need a number one defenseman or a number two who can bridge the gap. Now we have a defense core that features MacDonald at 5 million, Coburn at 4.5 million, Streit at 5.25 million and both Grossmann and Schenn at 3.5 a peice. Does this not concern anyone? |

So what's this rumor about Kovalchuk wanting to come back and play for the Devils? Only way that would happen is if all 30 teams give their consent. Don't exactly see that happening...
And Laughton's nickname : LOL |

It tells me we have a defense full of #4's if you go by salary alone. So yes, its concerning.
Chris Pronger why have you forsaken us?
