I know LA isn't the Bruins or Sharks, but man if we can bring this back to NY all of a sudden it is what if.
I know New Jersey gave them a small scare 2 years ago, but the way we battled back from Pittsburgh I'd have to imagine the pressure is on them. Granted they seem to thrive when the pressure is on them.
That being said if we lose 5, or 6 I won't be devastated as much as if we brought it back to 7 and lost there. - evitageN
I had started formulating blogs and their titles in my head if they win Game 5 and 6. One thought I kept having is would it be worse to get to Game 7 and lose rather than prior to that. Short-term, heck yes, long-term, maybe not, but if that happens, we will be revisiting all summer Hagelin getting stopped by Quick late in the third period of Game 1, Kreider hitting the post in Game 2 in OT and the blown, two-goal leads. |

From the 2010 experience, I wish it had gone 7. But mostly because I think it would have been easier had the 'hawks not celebrated on our ice. I could have just turned it off as soon as the OT goal was scored and moved on to the offseason. But was it worth it to go to 6 and not be swept? Oh God yes. 1997 SUCKED because so much joy was caught so short by being swept by Detroit. |

No matter how close the games, or how good you play, something just so bad about getting swept in the finals. |

I wonder if we lose in 7, if Lundqvist has a chance of being named one of those Conn Smythe winners from the losing team, obviously he is the winner if we take this in 7. |

For LA its either Doughty or Carter. For the Rangers its only 1 person. |

I don't know. I can't say I'd say Lundqvist over MSL before yesterday. And Marty potted one yesterday, too. |

I meant if we were taking Jimbo's assumption if it goes to 7 games. Only way we are doing that is Hank. |
