ultimately puck luck has nothing to do with a series outcome. the better team wins, that's all. right now LA has played 2 wins better. you guys didn't like it when people devalued NY's win over Montreal based on a lot of luck and some good bounces, understandably. same situation here.

Your goalie was superb!! Nothing wrong with that at all. I take nothing away from him at all.

As far as puck luck goes, it isn't enough to get a bounce in your favor, or a broken stick; you still need to capitalize on the fortuitous opportunities when they arise. Take the St. Louis goal for example; yes, Step's stick broke and the pass/shot intended for Kreider didn't get to him and instead hit the defender in front of the net. However that's not a goal unless Kreider and St. Louis are both going hard to the net. Kreider took the defender with him and St. Louis was all alone on the left post.

Same with Brown's goal. Yes, Girardi's stick broke leading to the breakaway but Brown had to still beat Hank for the goal.

The first puck that stopped on the line; that's going to be a goal unless Stralman comes in and clears it off the line. The second; Step smartly slides the puck under Hank.

Not only do you have to make your own luck in this sport but you have to be able to take advantage when the puck does bounce your way. The Kings had done a great job of that through three games and the Rangers were better last night in that regard. Here's hoping the puck continues to bounce our way and that the Rangers can continue to take advantage of it.
