have to say that at first when I heard murray "leak" our dirty laundry i was a bit urked, but now i think its genius. mainstream hockey news is all talk about how he wants out and how we dont' want to trade him, but will satisfy his request IF possible, rather than "he's injury prone, bad for the team in a long term contract etc". this distracts from the major reasons why we NEED to trade JS19.

murray knows what he is doing here. also, we are not just getting players/ drafts/ potentials back in this trade (if it goes thru), but space and flexibility, which i don't think should be forgotten.

i also think that murray perhaps may have a trade already set up, contrary to what he said. why else pull down all the spezza promos?

i agree with this. also important to note that it was murray, not spezza, who announced this. why would he deliberately shoot himself in the foot, when he could have just kept it quiet. murray is smarter than that. i think the deal is already done, and he's just waiting for the season to be over.

way smarter...plus if a deal isnt set up, but there are competing teams with serious interest, this type of rhetoric functions to distract for the real reasons why we need to trade him. it also tries to reinforce that we "TRY" to take care of our vet player requests, again, in effort to to distant the spezza sit from alfie.

We will get a fair return .People have to remember ,we still will be making more moves after JS is dealt.This team is going to get even younger next season.Whatever Spezza returns will be added to the stockpile of moveable assets

Iam sure ,BM wont send him to a bottom feeder unless thats what he wants .The 10 team list in this case, i can see being nothing more than a formality .Spezza has been a great player /person for this team BM wont screw him over

leaf fans who blane their collapse on bernier missing 5-6 games, while ignoring the garbage product on the ice, are just my favorite.

I think will be traded to Western Conference and it will not be a Canadian team. I think Anaheim, Dallas, Nashville, Phoenix and St. Louis that a trade could be made with. I keep hearing the Ducks and the Blues.
