That's what's confusing me, (like I stated earlier, it seems Wirtz is back), the way he bashed, & shipped off Roenick & Amonte, makes no sense.

Roenick like Belfour was guilty of blasphemy and that was a no-no with Bill Wirtz.

So they were gone.

Wirtz rewarded loyalty more than performance ....If you don't believe me look at the Hawks draft record for about 4 decades before Toews was drafted...Many scouts who had awful drafts were tenured....same with front office people.

You do know there's this thing called a salary cap right? And you realize that this salary cap forces teams to prioritize their salary structure, and sometimes get rid of someone that would ideally be retained?

No one is suggesting shipping off Sharp for a bag of pucks. If he goes it has to be for a legit 2C.

The fourth line is a hustle line and the third line looks plenty fine and responsible with Kruger, smith, and well Versteeg (assuming he gets his poop together in the offseason
