You guys are busting me up with this one thing is not like the other talk.
Sabres should keep Myers unless it's a no-brainer offer. You can't teach size, he plays with marginal talent, and he's just a puppy. Pronger was not much different early in his career, although he was a lot feistier.
And I think you all are lucky Pegula wants to buy the teams. He's got deep pockets and isn't interested in moving them. My Blues and Rams owners can't boast both of those attributes. Pegula is still learning the sports biz. He'll get the hang of it.

Doubt they'd go for that, prime need for them is #2 RHD to play with Hedman |

Kesler to Philly would be interesting. Asking price is reportedly sky high and I think the Flyers want to be a bit smarter going forward. |

I think if there was a deal centering around perhaps Couturier and maybe Laughton, it's a decent starting point, and wouldn't really hurt Philly. |

Flyers would be dumb enough to trade their future Kesler in Couturier |

I don't think they stand to gain much though. Giroux, Couturier, Schenn, Laughton down the middle seems pretty good to me. Kesler would be an improvement for them but at the reported cost I'd say no thanks. |

One thing no one has mentioned, do GM's talk down their current players before trading them?
Hey we don't think Myers is all that great, offer us a ton for him!! - OneKaneOneCup
Ha! I would love to have him, but we're pretty stacked on R-handed D. Our prospect list has taken a turn for the worse, not sure we can deal much more, or who would want what we have.
But for kicks, I would say Rattie, a future #1 (like '16) and Paarvji I would offer. Not sure you'd take that offer, but you aren't getting Tarasenko, Schwarz, or Petro.
Besides, we gave you too much for Ott and Miller already. |

I don't think Couturier has Kesler's heart.
And that's no shot at Couturier. He's a fantastic defensive center, big, fast, learning to put a few pucks in the net finally, but if you have the chance to nab a Kesler, you do it |

Mike Weber makes over a million and he'd have to trip my grandmother to prevent her from from beating him.
Trade him for an ECHL player...... Like a Mike Weber type |

I just come back to asset management. If Philly thinks Kesler puts them over the top in place of Couts, IMO they're fooling themselves. If I were hextall, is be thinking 2-3 years ahead. In that scenario to me the future of Couturier > Kesler. |

See, that's why I'd make a terrible GM.
Guys like Kesler, Backes, Brown, O'Reilly...my personal man-crushes, would get me into trouble by giving up too much for them!
