My point isn't about Myers franchise status, saying that he's dramatically overpaid and that 5.5 is what a franchise d-man should be making is a stretch. Yes they gave him that deal because they thought he'd turn into one but they figured they'd front load so that he's have a good cap hit vs the average cap hit for a franchise d-man which is around 7mil

Never said that but you are placing the blame square on his shoulders. We had Matt D'Agostini, Corey Conacher, Drew Stafford on our top line. That is awful

Do you honestly think he or even Ehrhoff wouldn't produce more on a team like Chicago or Pittsburgh? Or that his +/- wouldn't be much better? Do you really think guys like Matt Niskanen or Jonny Oduya are better?

If Ehrhoff can land me pulkinnen and Sheahan is rather that then Marchand. I'm of the belief that his stats are inflated by his surrounding teammates, I don't think he'd be nearly as good on this team.

The same Ehrhoff who was supposed to be a team leader and checked out the entire year. The Same Ehrhoff who if he were younger would have been sent to the minors? The same Ehrhoff who said he would welcome a trade?

Ehrhoff was awful this season.
