If Quick is out of the crease - and Pouliot does try to avoid him - why is that a penalty? - StLBravesFan
Was wondering the same and they explained it but why even have a crease then? |

All I know is I would be scared poopless to face Quad X on the 3rd and 4th line... - HawkintheD
The truth is there isn't a team in the league that has enough depth to stop a top 6 like that....
Like I said ti would be a coaches nightmare to play the Hawks....
The best part is they would have nearly 10 million in cap space to beef up their bottom 6 if they wanted to.
My proposed deal would turn the Hawks into an actual Oilers/Islanders/Canadians dynasty. |

Heard it but especially since to me, it looked like Pouliot - maybe too late - tried to avoid - or at least minimize - contact. |

I'm rational - As a matter of fact most trades that do happen the fans go "that is delusional."
Honestly I think too many kids play NHL on their PS3 in GM mode and actually believe they know what they're doing when talking about when it comes to the real NHL. - Tazer19
Clearly you know what your'e talking about. |

I think $71.1 was the original - and still official - but not final number. - StLBravesFan
Hence the word estimated. I also have seen the NHL Network use other estimates previously before the reports of how much revenue was generated. |

Again - what are your sources for your pronouncements? - StLBravesFan
Well, an adult wouldn't just flat out deny a trade proposal and call it delusional - at least not a proposal like that, which leads me to believe the majority here are between the ages of 14 and 25 - and whom by the way think they know everything because they've been watching hockey for 5-10 years.
This is what explains the whole "Bickell is Eric Lindros phenomenon."
Either that or some fans only pay attention to a players performance over the span of a few weeks and then make judgements rather than actually judging the player based in his career or at minimum previous few seasons.

There was a tweet I saw online by James Mirtle saying much the same as Elbows posted earlier. Can't find it right now, though. |

Really? how does a team stop a team that has 2 legitimate first lines? Especially with a coach like Q who knows his poop and likes to mix it up when he needs to?
You can never have too many tools in your toolbox but I would rather have less tools rather than a toolbox full of junk..... The funny part is that is a bad analogy here considering the Hawks have epic depth and it's generally not "junk."

Please, some reading comprehension:
You said that the Hawks made the best offer for Kesler: source?
You said that despite JJ saying the Hawks were out of the bidding for Kesler, they were still in it: source? |

Man I have a 3-way deal that would clear close to 10 million in cap
To Chicago
Kessler @50% retained
To Vancouver
TT
Bickell
2014 1st Round Pick Chicago
2015 1st Round Pick Calgary
To Calgary
Rozy
Rundblad
Hayes rights (worth a 2nd round pick by de facto)
That deal would save the Hawks nearly 10 million in cap space + get us Kesler at 2.75 per.
I don't want to deal TT but this deal is fair and the savings on the cap are amazing for the Hawks.
Of course Haws fans don't like the deal because they think Bickell is God and strangely enough would rather trade Sharp over Bickell. - Tazer19
It would take several hours to enumerate everything incorrect about this post. |

I'm kidding. I'm older than 26. But that post was still pretty irrational
The Canucks are not eating ANY of Kesler's salary. You know why? Because they will get an offer that doesn't require them to. And the Hayes trade wouldn't yield a 2nd round pick (de facto) because the Hawks do not receive Calgary's pick if they sign Hayes. What would prevent a team (let's say Calgary) from just not showing their hand and saying 'No, we're not interested in Hayes' and then signing him on August 16th, when it costs them nothing. |

Why?
A nice piece of Danish with some coffee in the morning - nothing better.
And after, a piece of pastry. |
