Leddy is 23. And has 300 games of NHL experience. Keith at that age did not. When Leddy makes a play, any play, without that maddening moment of hesitation, it will be his first. - Elbows15

And I get that you think Q and the Hawks exist to baby poor little Nicky. Face it. He isn't very good and never will be. He is a professional hockey player, FFS. If he out there being afraid, it sure says a lot about his mental toughness.
And when the big boys come out to play. He is on the bench. - Elbows15

A lot of the guys love Neilsen over here... always a topic of interest.
Not sure the Isles will even trade him.
He is a pretty important player on the team.
He does it all..., 2nd line power play, kills powerplays, good face off guy... and the best shoot out guy the Isles have. |

As often happens in the world, money determine that. I'd be curious about what number Fro would have to take for Stan to want him. |

I actually enjoy watching World Cup soccer. Don't ever watch outside of the World Cup though.
There was an amazing header goal today in the Netherlands/Spain game. Was a beauty.
Don't get me wrong, hockey over soccer everyday. But it can be entertaining. I mean, where else can you watch grown men drop like they have been shot whenever there is the slightest contact? That in itself is entertaining, especially when they do the super-slow motion replay and it is clear as day that they weren't even close to getting hurt.

So now you're suggesting they trade away Bickell for a first round pick? You do know the object is to win the Cup? Did you watch the playoffs? Bickell shows up for the playoffs. His mediocre regular season isn't as important, he was also coming off a bad knee injury he played through in the playoffs a year ago, coupled with another knee injury this season. He strapped on the foil though for the playoffs and showed up. He's also one of only 2-3 big, physical players on the Hawks, along with Seabrook and games when Bollig decides to do what he's paid for. They need more guys like Bickell, not less, and certainly not to deal them for a draft pick that may or may not be a decent player in 5 years when Hossa, Sharp, Seabrook, Keith, etc. have either declined, retired, or left. - Hemingways
Yeah for cap space I certainly am advocating trading Bickell - hes not worth 4 million per.
I could care less about how he performed in the playoffs because that was Q's coaching and not Bickells skill - don't confuse the two.
If Bickell was so damn skilled he would have scored more than 14 points in the regular season. Bickell is NOT a skilled player.... I would take Buff over Bickell 10/10 times - at least Buff is a skilled player.
Bickell is a useful player but not 4 per useful.
Say there was no salary cap would you pay Wayne Gretzky in his prime 60 per?
You guys gotta think salary cap and the future.
Sorry, as an accountant I play "money ball" and have been doing so since before the movie or even the concept was "invented" or promoted.
Bickell is NOT worth 4 per - it is really that simple, and there are plenty of players who make much less that will do what he does - even in the playoffs. There are plenty of players that will listen to their coach and will do as they're told.
Besides, as a player myself you shouldn't be crowned a hero for keeping your stick on the ice - that is just common sense and that is where many of Bickells goals and points came from - from him keeping his stick on the ice and using his size to get position.
