I know what Hjalmarsson is and what he is to the Hawks team. He's a very good up-in-coming shut down defenseman. Plus I know what Leddy is.
But we both know the Hawks wont trade him. I actually suggested a week ago, I could see Oduya + something for Frans, if a trade would go down. Matter of fact I asked about McNeil

- Ur Not Me

Hjalmarsson is more than up and coming. He has arrived. And I think the Hawks trading Oduya would be a huge mistake. Leddy in no way can handle the QoC that Oduya faced.

And I don't think the Hawks would move McNeil, yet. Maybe after next season.

See Tazer like you, I too am brilliant and they mock me also, only you and I understand each others brilliance. I understand and relish reading your trade proposals and would like to see if you have any more we can disect. If these guys wish to keep their heads in the sand, that's their problem. One day they will see you're right!

If LA wins this game, can King Hendrik get the Conn Smythe?

Islander guys,.What's up with X guy? Why does he put that on every post?
- Elbows15

I think I remember seeing him post why he did it. I forget why he did it the first time, (maybe on accident) but IIRC he said that it really pissed someone off, so he decided to do it on every post.

Are you (frank)ing insane?

What did I say that wasn't true?

What do you think? letting Toews and Kane hit the FA market is a good idea and then negotiate?

Or that Bickell will jack Saads demands up?

Bowman giving Bickell 4 per was straight up one of the dumber contracts I have ever seen - especially from the Hawks - a team any player would love to play for.

If you don't think Saad is going to compare himself to Bickell during contract negotiations then NONE of you have seen a contract negotiating process. That's what players do during negotiations they compare themselves to other players and the salaries they presently make.

The only protection the Hawks have is through RFA status - and even then some of these guys are arbitration eligible..

An arbitrator would give Saad at least 3.5-4.

happened 5 times before. Doughty or Gaborik deserve it though, too.

Those 3 things. If you think the Hawks let Saad get to arbitration, you're even crazier than I think you are.

I don't really have much proposals.... I realize the Hawks need a legit 2 center but I'm not crazy enough to trade Sharp instead of Bickell to get it done. The Hawks have a lot of assets that can be traded that wont dramatically affect the team. However getting Saad, Toews and Kane signed to contract extensions would be my number one concern right now.... We can trade Rozy and Bickell to make room for that, move some picks and prospects to get a guy like Kesler.

I'm open to Spezza and Thornton too but I wouldn't be willing to give up much for either - and quite frankly Thornton is bad luck in my opinion.

I really like Kesler because he has those intangibles - he might not be a PPG player but he is certainly a hard nosed player that gives 100% every shift and is a lot like Toews..... Spezza and Thornton are nothing more than simple solutions - not long term. But I would take either one at @50% reduced cap hit as a temporary solution.

This team doesn't need a drastic change what this team needs is a #2 center and if the cost of that is too high on the trade market then just look to FA's - looking there is more responsible than trading Sharp or whoever else that plays a major role in the Blackhawks success.

Do you have any more trade proposals? I'm going for the night and will look for them in the morning. The guys here may object but one day they will look back and realize they were amongst Geniuses or is that Geeni or maybe Gynie .... NO!! that may be confused with a female body part and they would start calling us all kinds of bad things. Anyway I will sign on in the morning hoping to find lots of trade proposals.

I tend to agree with you, Bickell should get it done but of course if the Hawks sweeten it there is no doubt Vancouver will retain at least 32 to 76% of Kesler's salary. Keep up the excellent posts, I look forward to reading more of your stuff. Good night Tazer, and give em all Hell.

Oh yeah I forgot - Saad is the superior player, put up more points and was arguably fantastic in the PO's and you actually believe his agent isn't going to compare Bickells contract to Saads?

Saad will get at least 3.5 and Bickel will end up playing for Tallon in Florida.

I'd trade Bickel for Hayes stright up - no problem.

Kreider's breakaway - first of the game, I think.

Don't recall any 2 on ones either.
