If Ristolainen is in Rochester, and ehrhoff is traded...
We are gonna have to sign some defensemen
Those moves would leave us with...
Pysyk-Myers
Weber-McBain
Ruhwedel
Do we bring back Tallinder and Sulzer? - jdfitz77
Tallinder and Sulzer are gone and not coming back highly likely the same thing happens with McBain. Murray has already stated as such |

Physically he's there, no doubt but some of the technical stuff still needs to be worked on. If he really was allowed to go to the AHL this soon I wonder how much ice time he'd really see? At least this way he gets the minutes and the lead role on what will probably be another mem cup contending team. - Sabresfan-365
He'd be in the top 5 on D for Rochester next year he's not going to learn squat from playing in Juniors except maybe having some false confidence ala Grigorenko |
|
|
|
Just to keep the conversation moving
Ehrhoff for Johansson, 13th overall, and salary dump (draft Perlini)
Or
Ehrhoff for Burakovsky + conditional 2nd(you know, the ones that turn into a first based on a bunch of bullpoop stats or if they make a certain round of the playoffs) + salary dump
Thoughts? - Sabresfan-365
I don't see ehrhoff netting that big of a return, especially the 2nd.....depending on how big the salary dump is, he might be able to get you something like the 1st |
|
|
|
He can't go to the AHL yet .. let him stay in Jrs - gerbe75pts
Why so he can rot? I know he cant play in the AHL yet I'm not stupid.. he's basically in purgatory next year like Grigerenko was last year. It's Bull! |

McBain is gone IMO. I doubt he's tendered a qualifying offer. - Jammerz04
Agreed.
So guaranteed a spot on D unless they are traded or bought out would be
Myers
Ehrhoff
Weber
maybe
Pysyk
Ruwhdiel

Griffin Reinhart has stayed in juniors and he looks like he got better from last year to this year. I think Zadarov is 2-3 years away from being a full time NHL 'er. Let him dominate |

hahahaa your way off! Johansson is good and would be worth a mid 1st round pick not a top 5 nor would Murray ever accept an offer like that.. |

Domination doesn't get you anywhere.. Didn't you see Grigerenko...?? Griffin has looked good and has dominated yes but again.. false confidence.. he'd benefit from the AHL as well.. |

Marcus Johansson does not = 2nd overall pick
He's a 35 to 45 pt guy, not a #1 centre. |

No Moulson or Callahan please. Be a horrible decision. Get Booth, Scuderi and TooToo to get us to the cap floor. - Jammerz04
Why in the hell would you want those 3 scrubs? Booth misses more games then are in a season, Tooto does what again that will help this team?
I've said it 3 times or more Moulson is close to coming back, I was told no and Vanek and no on Miller so everyone can rest easy. I noticed yesterday someone posted something about Vanek coming back that's why I mentioned it.
The Stars have an interest in Ehrhoff I was told they, like a lot of teams want a D man that can play 20-25 minutes a game. |

No I think you have to be.. You don't give up a top 5 let alone top 2 pick for a 2nd line guy at best... You simply don't.. I'd give up a 2nd overall for Backstrom but not Johansson he's not a for sure 1st liner which is what you expect someone you draft 2nd overall to be. |

Really?? He's not the second coming of Crosby.. He's a good to decent player but you need someone like a Backstrom for the 2nd overall pick.. I don't care how weak the supposed draft is... |

I think the only guarantee might be that 1 of Myers/Ehrhoff is here. I still think 1 is traded, and who knows who is up or down (Risti, Pysyk, Ruh, Zadorov) or if anyone (including us) even wants Mike Weber

I'm not up on the young kids not in the NHL yet so who is it? and there is nothing set in stone we pick in the top 3 next year. - SABRES 89
McDavid, Eichel, Hanifin.
If you sign nothing but old "scrubs" to short term high cap hit deals and trade away Stewart and Ehrhoff, you might as well pre order one of those jerseys to beat the rush. |

Do you know much about the London Knights .? Probably one of the top organizations in Junior hockey. If he were to be anywhere my first choice would be London . Discussion of the transfer rule has been beaten to death in here . It is not changing in the near future . Need to get over it and be glad that he is at least in London . And he will be benefit from being there . The Hunters will see to that. |
