Agreed. Bogosian has really fallen off. Now, if it were Trouba... - jmatchett383
So what if it was Bogosian and Kane for Coburn and Schenn. |

Don't get me wrong, I like Coburn. A lot. And I like Schenn, too. But if it's gonna be for Kane and a bit of a wildcard in Bogo, then absolutely. But there's no way Winnipeg does that. |

I think the slow start really hurts him. Some people voting will say "he couldn't even make the Canadian Olympic team," too. - bodiva88
i realized im probably biased, but i just have a hard time seeing how crosby doesnt have the strongest case.
i realize the response of oh, thats what the art ross is for, but still. its been some time since there has been such a discrepancy between first place and the field in the scoring race.
then the other factors such as everyone else on the team being injury marred. the record in which he scores a point as opposed to being held off the scoresheet. (pretty much meant a loss). there were stretches when flanked by brian gibbons and with AHL guys bringing up the rear, he carried the team for long dominant stretches. |

Was it his 6 assists in 44 NHL games that blew you away, or his 7 points in 24 AHL games last year? - jmatchett383
It was more his ability to make tough decisions, move the puck under pressure, and play lock-down defense as a 22-yo on a terrible defensive team facing tough competition.
He's almost a carbon-copy of Coburn at the same age. |

actually if you guys did get kane to be that sniper for G, id look hard at experimenting with allowing that addition to free jake up for his own line on the second. |

Yeah, Crosby did have to do the majority of the heavy lifting this season. Probably his best case for the trophy, as Malkin et. al. were healthy for the other one. |

I would need to check, but I believe he was spotted in the top pairing as the season wound down. |

Whether or not he "should" win the Hart, he won't. - jmatchett383
my apologies. I feel sure claude giroux should be the front runner for winning the Hart Trophy. Of course I am biased. |

Wow. He sounds like the 2012-2013 version of Luke Schenn. Based on less than a 50-game sample.
Sorry, but outside of Schultz, I have little interest in anybody on their blueline. |

Yup. I figured they wouldn't be released until after the draft and free agency. They will change, probably not significantly. |

and he was actually healthy himself for the season. which is something he really couldnt claim a lot.
i just dont see what metric, measurable, or comparison you can use to really flush him out.
of course, since it is solely a regular season based trophy. |
