Honestly, Im a huge soccer fan. Played provincials and some high levels growing up and still play alumni leagues to this day...but how soft some of these guys are at the pro levels disgusts even me...a simple collision or shoulder to shoulder and buddy is out for 2-3 minutes on the ground like he got shot.
Common now. You're embarrassing yourself.

sometimes yes but i also think sometimes that things happen in soccer are much worse than they look. we compare them to hockey and football players but these guys are well padded and insulated. a lot of these soccer players are built like broomsticks so those high-speed collisions are incredibly painful. i played rugby for many years and there were many times a seemingly innocent collision would be incredibly painful.
that said i agree that even if that's the case and a player is genuinely hurt, the guys who allow themselves to get stretchered without having a broken limb or something are ridiculous. how are they not embarrassed? |

That's probably a good idea. At some point you have to add vets so the young players don't feel like they are doing it by themselves. |
