D'amigo should be 4th, IMO. Leivo should play 2nd line and bump Clarkson with Holland. Then figure out what to do with the rest of the 3rd and 4th lines

maybe sign a vet (or bring in komarov) for the 3rd line wing spot, drop d'amigo down as you said, and play someone like Smith and perhaps resign Bodie
leave Orr as the extra man who jumps into the lineup against a team like Boston to help keep the peace. |

sometimes yes but i also think sometimes that things happen in soccer are much worse than they look. we compare them to hockey and football players but these guys are well padded and insulated. a lot of these soccer players are built like broomsticks so those high-speed collisions are incredibly painful. i played rugby for many years and there were many times a seemingly innocent collision would be incredibly painful.
that said i agree that even if that's the case and a player is genuinely hurt, the guys who allow themselves to get stretchered without having a broken limb or something are ridiculous. how are they not embarrassed?

My provincials coach instructed that if you were hit beyond even minor contact and lost possession of the ball, go down and sell it. Youre not doing anyone a favour by getting pushed around all game. I played centre stricker and was often taken out from behind when trying to break up the field...Id get right back up and chase the (frank)er down if no immediate whistle. |
