It's possible, but I think this is the best case scenario for him.

I'm going with the more conservative view that he's a 55-60 points per season guy who can play dirty. It's no shot at him really. No reason why the Leafs should get rid of him.

KAdri has been called nothing but a bust by anyone outside of the LEafs and even some Leaf fans..... But as I said a 23 yr old who just put up the last 2 season he did is just as much a reason to keep as a 21 yr old.

In Detroit he'd just be getting his first full time taste in the NHL.
It's not so much all the time the Leafs have put into Kadri, but rather, for the first time they didn't just give him away in a trade before he had the chance to establish himself as an NHLer.....and to think how close we were to trading him for Luongo.

What is the peak of NHL players careers?? it;s like 25... kadri is just about to enter that period, he's not even there yet. I doubt that's all he'll be.
