In Detroit he'd just be getting his first full time taste in the NHL.
It's not so much all the time the Leafs have put into Kadri, but rather, for the first time they didn't just give him away in a trade before he had the chance to establish himself as an NHLer.....and to think how close we were to trading him for Luongo.

I totally agree. We should be modelled after the Wings.. It is not rocket science. Build a great farm system. Look at the Habs through the 70's. They won both the Calder and the Stanley Cups.

He didnt really slump this past season.
He's a hot and cold player. 50- 60pts is where my expectations are for him.
Much like the rest of the Leaf team, Kadri played a little above himself during the half season.
I'd keep kadri too, unless its a great deal.

Agreed - but he's got a better chance of getting back up to 15-20goals than he does at beating up heavyweights. He's not that big of a guy.

The only way we ever feel good about Clarkson is if we ignore his $$ and he gels into a nice 2/3 line role scoring 15-20 / year and knocking the other teams top dmen into the boards all game. That has to be his role.
