We've heard that before...do you like Luke Schenn more than you should?

I do have a soft spot for Defensemen and I always have but I like to think I have a realistic take on Luke. He falls into the #4 or 5 slot. Put him with a strong steady partner and he'll do just fine. Ask him to do more and you see fancy little spin-oramas where he forgot to bring the puck with. He didn't play well with Gus or Mez, but he did play well when paired with Timonen (who wouldn't) and MacDonald (a pleasant surprise). At this point our conversations around him have been centered around trying to find consistency. Some games he's pretty dang good, other games he's not. |

Good for him! I'm pleased to see him doing well. I do think he's had some consistency issues too but staying healthy and seeeing success has only helped his confidence. |
