FLA has enough top 6 young Cs in Bjugstad and Barkov. Would it make more sense to deal something around 3rd overall for couturier then move up from there?

It all depends on what they are looking at. If they want it because they want Ekblad then it only make sense to do the trade if Ekblad still there if not they won't do it.

Might not be a lot of sexy names available at this moment, but damn is their a lot of proven NHLers who are either old as (frank) or have had an off year or two.

Someone is going to make a play for a guy like Parenteau or Ward or whoever and end up with a gem.

I hope we sign Thorton just to show the guy is no better than Gazdic.

I liked Pitlicks game last year. And so did Eakins. If he can stay healthy I think he has a great shot at making the team this year.

At the end of the day, if they only play 5 min a night, there is still 55 other minutes of hockey. Gazdic for a good amount of games at the start of the year was not on for a single goal.

I don't think you need to dress these guys for more than 30 games. Just dress them for when you know an idiot is on the other team that likes to run around.

Are there corsi numbers for specific games that show that Hall/Nuge etc play better with Gazdic on the bench? There are lots of players who feel they can play their game with one of them on the bench.
