What would u trade for him?

- jdfitz77

I like ROR just not that price tag.

With the rumored want of some in charge in Canada to want their dollar to get to 75, that will only hinder the cap amount.

If that were to happen we will see a decrease in the upper limit.

I'm ok with umberger
I don't think Adam has much trade value though
I'd like to see him sink or swim on the Sabres this year

Gives Columbus up front depth.

I feel like we are a long way away from worrying the cap ceiling

IF they think he can actually play in the NHL
My guess is it's unlikely

We as in Buffalo, ok sure.

The Canadian Dollar could be as early as next year.

They want to stop/slow down their citizens from cross boarder shopping and bring back the film industry.

Ya, that mak sense. I get what u are saying.
But that doesn't worry me about a 6.5m deal for ROR bc most of our big contracts will presumably disappear as we have to start paying the young kids
Until these kids become stars & start demanding really big $$$ I think we will be fine as far as the cap goes

Zadorov isn't on the same level Risto or Myers, he can be moved for a guy like O'Reilly.

As for Girgensons, his ceiling best case scenario is O'Reilly, if the opportunity presented itself I'd make that move. You're getting a sure thing (of that type of player) for a guy who may one day reach that level.

I'm thinking Ehrhoff +
The + would have to be a forward that could replace ROR in their lineup
I'm guessing they'd want Hodgson or Ennis
If they'd take Stewart or Stafford, I'd add more
Mid-level prospect or 2nd

Idk if those offers would be enough to win the bidding war I think would happen if they made him available though

Take Savards contract, add Hoff for BOS 1st + Malcolm Subban
- OneKaneOneCup

The trade is basically Hoff for a 1st and Subban which the bruins would never do.

They have no need to move Savard since he gets placed on LTIR, so we are not doing them a favor by taking the contract.

With Myers getting back on track this past year, I'm not sure the Sabres would do it....
Unless Ekblad falls to us in the draft

But I'm guessing our preference would be to see what we could get for a package of Ehrhoff +
If the Sabres were to include a decent young forward like Ennis or Hodgson, do U think that would work?
Or would it have to be Myers?

That's too much to give up just for ror. Erhoff and Enis to me doesn't seem like equal value.

I hear ya, but if we want him we are gonna have to outbid a host of others...
Does Stafford or Stewart instead of Ennis/Hodgson get it done?
I don't wanna massively overpay, but its gonna sting a little to get him. He's a pretty good player and he's only 23

DesLauriers signed - about 640k/year for 2 years

One RFA down, 5 to go (this contract keeps DesLauriers a RFA when it's done too)

EDIT: Those "5 to go" was just referencing the parent club. I just noticed about 6 more in the minors

Other than Ennis and probably Foligno, I couldn't care less what they do with that list.

There's absolutely no rule that says that the class clown can't be employed somewhere other than the 23-man roster.

Idk...
Will the AVs do that deal?
They wanna win now I think
To me,
That means a defenseman more established like Ehrhoff
And a forward that can slot into RORs spot instead of a draft pick

But ya, I'd trade Pysyk & #22 for ROR in a heartbeat
If they'd take it

- jdfitz77

No we would not take it

ROR will be an AV for a long time I don't know why this is being discussed.

I'm not so sure about that. He may end up pricing himself out of Denver, but the very fact that they elected arbitration all but assures he's an Av for the next year, probably 2 at least.
