Vinnie to the Oilers. You heard it here first. Fills Oilers need for a big 2nd line center, who can take faceoffs, control the puck, and score 20-30 goals. Gagne can play 3rd line or buy a bus ticket out of town. - budeye007
he has a nmc and supposedly only wants to play in the east |

Throw out the lockout year and he's scored at least 20 goals for 13 straight seasons. |

He had 20 goals this year, (and for the past 5 full years). And that's with him playing 69 games on the fourth line. Flyers need him to move because we have too many Centers, and he doesn't mesh with anyone on our team... except maybe Zac Rinaldo.
The Florida thing is interesting because any team that would want him is going to be probably out of playoff contention, and probably needs to make the cap floor. Vinnie has ties to Florida and might be open to it. Unfortunatly I don't think Edmonton has the same allure for him, and he does have a limited NMC. |

dump 2 awful contracts and a mid 1st for gudbranson? - TheNugeIsHuge
Awful contracts? How do you figure? You got a 28 year old Top 4 Dman at 3.5 mill which in todays world is a bargain. A lot of these top 4 guys are going for 5 mill a season now. Vinny if you judge him based on the 37 points he got this year, yea I guess but the fact was he spent most of the time on the 4th line playing under 10 mins a game and still managed 20 goals and 17 assists. If he gets 2nd line minutes he will average 50-60 points which is a good deal at 4.5 mill assuming Flyers don't keep any salary.
Gubranson isn't even good. I know he is only 22 but in 3 years in the NHL he has never gotten more than 10 points a season and a career -38 and has over 200 PIMS. He will get better but not drastically enough to be a good NHL Dman. |

Don't know anyone on this planet that considers grossman to be a top 4 Dman
Vinny was an anchor to his line mates all season. Missed 57 games the past 4 seasons. 34 and on year 1 of his bad deal |

Well, since the Leafs don't have 3 super prospects, this conversation is over. If common sense didn't already end it first. - systemtool
And how will Staal return 3 super prospects? That never happens. |

He was an anchor because he is a natural Center playing the Wing and did not fit Berube's system. Vinny of off to a great start with Laviollette as coach and was our best player until he got injured. With Berube he spent the entire season being bumped around playing a position he isn't comfortable in and playing the fourth line. |

Florida already has Bjugstad and Barkov for their top 2 C roles. Vinny isn't a fit there. And on D they already have Campbell, Kulikov, and Gudbranson as sure things with Gilbert and Jovnoski as equals to Grossman and the liklihood of Ekblad being drafted so that's a no go. FLO need wingers in a bad way, no need for a C or D just to help them reach the cap floor. Why not over pay for a couple wingers and be there without ruining any of your young C's? Next you'll try and convince us that they're in on Miller. |

Not sure PAP goes to MTL.
Habs needs another top 4 dman and a power forward, not another fringe perimeter type of guy.
Habs do have cap space this year and could afford him but next year we have a ton of players to sign so I don;t see it happening.
