It's not based on the playoffs.

I agree Mackinnon will win Calder, but it wasn't a runaway until the playoffs started

IIRC, voting is done at the end of the regular season.

Roy is third out of the nominees for me. And he's not close to the other two.

I'd be behind Cooper for the win this year. Roy did a fine job, but really rode the percentages. Babcock is always hard to deny, but I don't think it's his year.

I dont see what is so special about namesnikov... He tore up the ahl only when he was riding shotgun beside kucherov.... I dont think his offensive game will translate to the nhl... his defensive game may though.

Keep watching and you will see. He was always a developmental player anyways and each year we have seen improvement. The stats don't tell the whole story, but his 200' game does. Many including myself are expecting the biggest year to year jump this coming season

Offensive players take longer to develop anyways. I think he's progressing nicely.

Plus injuries to start the year. Had namestnikov not been hurt there was possibly a good chance he got called up rather than kucherov. with that 1 year pro experience under his belt

Absolutely. Experience in the AHL will only help him. I think he's the real deal. I see him as an eventual replacement for Fil.

Hey Mikey,
What about Anton Stralman? Even though My top candidate is still Zach Bogosian!

I don't like Stralman as our top 4 defender for a high price tag! His possesion numbers might be good but he WILL get overpaid massively!
