If Emery isn't resigned would anyone be interested in signing Vokoun? Probably could come cheap. Did play well for Pens |

I'd have taken him three years ago instead of Bryzgalof but there were only two guys who would listen to me and neither of them were running the Flyers. |

Oshawa Generals radio broadcaster Vishal Hussain passed along information from sources that the Flyers are indeed one of the the prime landing spots for coveted Czech forward Jiri “Cakes” Sekac.
It’s another move that would provide cheap offensive depth for the Flyers, who don’t have much salary cap room to work with.
Sekac, a 6″0″, 174 lb forward who shoots left, had 11 goals and 17 assists in 48 games for HC Lev Praha of the KHL last season. At the young age of 22, the ceiling of his potential remains to be seen, and you have to credit the Flyers for pursuing yet another overseas option that could potentially be a key contributor. - Winning

There were actually three unless you counted me as one of the two.

I honestly had to stop and think about this for a second and then I started laughing. I'm more concerned with him wrecking his ridiculously expensive sports car this off season versus his mom's cooking! |

Yeah. Would be nice if Sekac signs and with Bellemore we might be able to upgrade our bottom six without really spending money or losing assets. Maybe Sekac can play o 3rd line and you roll a 4th line of Raffl or Alderson or Laughton or Bellemore. Rinaldo can become your 13th forward. Rosehill can be waived. |

•David Staples of the Edmonton Journal: Due to the Flyers cap situation, they may look at moving some players to be able to re-sign Brayden Schenn and possibly Steve Downie. Some trade options could be: Jakub Voracek (2-years at $4.25 million), Wayne Simmonds (5-years at $3.97 million), Braydon Coburn (2-years at $4.5 million), Luke Schenn (2-years at $3.6 million) and Nicklas Grossman (2-years at $3.5 million).
Really? To sign Downie? I can already see the comments page if this happened. |

Steve Downie as a PTO or for like $1.1M isn't the worst thing in the world; if nothing else, you could bury most of his contract in the AHL. But anything more than that, no thank you. |

I can imagine the proposed deals.
"We'll give them Smid because they need help on defense and they'll give us Simmonds in order to clear some cap space." |

I get that. I think the outrage would be to actually move one of those three to sign him. I am ok if it is something small or a PTO but not moving voracek, simmonds, coburn JUST to make room for Downie |
