I agree, but what he said was not only a massive exaggeration, but a complete fabrication of the truth.

All he had to say is something like "the last few years have not gone well but he's confident in his abilities" or something.

Good read. I have a lot of faith in TM's talent evaluation as well as those he trusts regarding talent evaluation. I think its becoming harder and harder to grab that "last piece of the puzzle or two" through trades or FA's unless a team simply can't afford a guy and has to let him go. With that said, what I feel Murray is doing now is building up the supporting cast and is hoping to get a few slam dunks in the draft. I'm confident with our D going forward and our bottom 2 lines. How he addressed the top 2 lines will be the result of luck, scouting, more luck, and hopefully pulling in a FA or 2 to put the icing on the cake. Only time will tell.
