Maybe they think he can help mentor Jonathan Huberdeau, and I do understand the theory behind that, but i'll tell you what: If the Flyers pulled off that deal, i'd dance in the streets

History would seem to suggest that you won't be able to convince FLA to move back any further than 3-4... so the costly part would actually be convincing BUF, EDM or CGY to move back first, then use their pick to make a stab at 1.

True, but if I am Florida who seems on the cusp of contention getting another draft pick is not as helpful as one or two sure things which make us better next year. Also, it would send the message to free agents that they are ready next year since the owner gave them the green light to spend and its a good free agent class.

The Flyers control Brayden Schenn's rights for five more years, and Coburn is signed for two more years and is younger, bigger and better defensively than Campbell. Amd who is gonna play 2C? Vinny? If you move Couturier up, who is gonna stop us from getting scored on at will, since Coburn's gone?
