Well I'm in pharmacy school.
Nutter's a nurse though...
My girlfriend is in physical therapy school though. She probably has the inside track here. |

No thanks. Just curious.
If Jsaq needs someone to do the negotiations with agents or merely paper the deals, I'd consider it. |

Hey guys,
With a lot of emphasis lately and during the season placed on '' team speed'' from Chief, from the media and from Hextall even, who do you think can help improve this young team and fit the system and plug some of the holes we have without losing prospects and picks or losing a valuable roster player and maybe even more importantly, while navigating a tight cap (ie: UFA route)
I think those guys could help the team, being both Left wing:
-Pouliot, Benoit » 27 yrs - NYR - Goals 15 assists 21 points 36
(ufa, previous cap hit 1.3M)
- Mason Raymond - 28yrs- TOR- GOALS 19 ASSIST 26 POINTS 45
(UFA- PREVIOUS CAP HIT 1M)
They are both somewhat young (27 and 28), both are extremely fast and Mason Raymond is a beauty to watch on the Pk. With the UFA market one would expect a bump in salary but I personally would love it if Hextall would add one (or 2 lol) of those guys at a reasonable cap hit.....
Another thing, those stats are mostly 3rd and some 2nd line minutes. |

I've been hard on for Radim Vrbata. Not sure what the cost would be or if he will test the market but would like to see him with bSchenn or Couturier. |

interesting.... I know a few years back he was putting over 30 pucks in the net... great shot.
I think he is a right wing though.... Is he old ?I thought he was like 35-36yrs old |

33 I think. Durable. Lock for 20 goals.
Is a RW but a lot of Eastern Euro's are comfortable playing the off-wing as well. Who knows. |

True.
But from what we know of Hextall's history with LA and the few interviews he had in the past year, he is big on young talent, speed and cost-effectiveness. So paying a young player a relative low cap hit who can potentially grow with the team. That player needs to provide speed and two way play. Pouliot and Mason Rayond fit well that description. They are both low risk if the salary cap hit on their contracts doesn't jump to high. |

Even though the priority ( besides resigning B. Schenn) should be upgrading the D, I really wouldn't mind seeing what kind of damage this lineup can do :
READ (or Hartnell) - GIROUX - VORACEK
HARTNELL (or Read) B. SCHENN - SIMMONDS
POULIOT - COUTURIER - RAYMOND
BELLEMARE - LAUGHTON - AKESON
That is potentially a VERY scary lineup and you also have the luxury to switch a lot of pieces throughout the lineup.
With minimal cap space presently, and with Vinny most probably getting traded and then Pronger's LTIR kicking in, we do have some cap space.
We are still missing a # 1 Dman or two. |

Does anyone have insider info on why Paddock was let go ?
Murphy was the best I saw at keeping the puck in at the point. He was an OK defenseman. I wonder if his trade had anything to do with the abuse of a writer in the locker room or of it was the guy he was traded for later- its 20 years down the road from the incident |
