While it would be nice. Buffalo needs offense badly. If they were to somehow acquire young offense without giving up Myers and then draft ekblad, it would be enticing.

Myers will be traded (not a Murray guy)

My thoughts a week from today:
- Fla takes? Reinhart
- Buffalo - Ekblad
- Buffalo trades with Edmonton for 3rd pick - Myers/2nd - Buffalo selects either Dras/Bennett



Buffalo trades back into the 1st Rd dealing Ehrhoff/2nd for a player like Alex Tuch?

I have a serious question about the draft. How much time does the Team have to make a deal before they have to make their pick?

If Ekblad falls to #2, then there is limited opportunity to make a deal should you want to... That would be interesting

I think they have to give the call to the league before the teams clock runs out. Then the team that got the pick, it think the clock starts over for them.

Good question. I don't think there is a time limit from what ive seen in the past . but it does seem to move along at a set interval.

There's a time limit. Just like in the NFL. I just don't know off hand how much time they get.

I meant they either trade Myers plus for the 3rd pick, or they trade something else for a later first round pick. I doubt Murray would do both.

I would think that they could probably get a decent return for Myers. But at this point in the game, I'd still rather keep him.

I think that where he is development wise fits in really well with the rebuild we're in the middle of. If they trade him and draft Ekblad as his "replacement," then you set youselves back 3 years or so in terms of development.

I also think that guys with his particular skill set are hard to find and that even though there have been bumps in the road, you deal with it in hopes that it all comes together. We've seen flashes of it, so I think I think it can be done. I'm hoping that he finally turned the corner this year.

Pretty much. Not to mention that it's been said that Rolston tried to completely change the type of game that both Ehrhoff and Myers were comfortable playing. They are both puck carrying D-men and Rolston didn't want the D carrying the puck ever.

IMO this should be the big concern. However he stayed healthy for his first 2 seasons.
