Fair enough, but that's part of why i just read instead of contributing to the galchenyuk/yakupov discussion.
The conversation quickly turned into another one of those "damn kids these days" as if anyone born after 1990 has it all wrong. - Sabresfan-365

Mine lasted all through highschool and my first year of college. I always laugh to myself seeing guys my age (mid-late 20's) still dressing like hipsters riding skateboards around. |

Despite the fact that this blog was well written and informative, if you could please stay on topic by blogging about the Sabres drafting Banety, signing Callahan (glue factory) trading for ROROROROR and eating Tyler Myers celery while trading Ehrhoff for Brad Marchand that would be great.

Tim Murray: “If you draft them out of the USHL or Tier 2 junior and they’re going to college, you own their rights for four years which is a good thing. It’s a longer development process versus a junior player which is two years. If you look at our depth chart we have more college players than we do junior players, which I’m not sure I like, but that’s the way it is here.”
Kind of contradicts the blog, eh? |

He's no Darcy, that's for sure.
While I'm sure he isn't showing all his cards, I like his candor. He isn't afraid to just answer a question

And yet, Murray's signature acquisition so far is a college player. I'm not going to read too much into this. |

He also doesn't actually say he doesn't like it. He just said he's not sure if he DOES like it. It's not the usual way of doing things, so it's out of his comfort zone. Jr tends to produce the best players, but that's been changing a bit each year, so it's not like you can't get high quality players out of the college route (Toews for example). |
