That would be an Epic move . Not sure I would want to. need guys like Myers and Girgs. to compliment OV.

Reality is he's a 3rd line centre/2nd line winger on a good team.

Risto, Myers, Armia. All three have higher ceilings than Girgensons. I'd move him before I moved those three.

Yak was such an explosive junior player. Hate to hear about his attitude towards playing a team game. He was generously being compared to bure for awhile. Probably bcz they are both wingers and Russian lol

Not me . This is not the draft . Then you have to put the time in properly developing Ekbald. Myer's age works perfect into our timeline of being senior leadership when this team is ready to compete again. Ekbald was the third best defenseman at world juniors and the first two already belonged to the Sabres.

I would move him for Hertl or Teravainen, both taken after Girgensons. And I bet both teams right now would say no to that deal.

He's not on the level of Drouin, Kuznetsov or Trouba. Players like that are untouchable and only get moved for true elite talent (if they don't turn into that themselves).

Because the two players that were better already belonged to us ? Ekbald is benefitting from a weak draft , especially for defenseman . 2013 or 2015 - does he even sniff the top 5 in the draft?
