I really hope that Dougherty or McKeown drops to our second round pick some how.
I like Larkin / Milano / Barbashev / Goldobin / Honka at 17. (Maybe Kapanen/ Virtanen drop and I'd def take those two first.) - FlyersSteve118
I will freak the F out if they take Larkin. NO MORE "PLAYS THE GAME LIKE MIKE RICHARDS" GUYS FFS |

True, either way, I really hope they go with a forward at #17, at this point 3 of their top 4 prospects are D (Morin, Ghost, Hagg) while the cupboard is really thin at forward after Laughton. |

Yeah, I'm hoping they get themselves a fancy skilled winger in this draft. |

You wouldn't trade two 2nds and a guy like Raffl to move into the top-4 this year?
If Feds hadn't had such a good PO for them in '04, that might have gone down as one of the most lopsided trades in draft history. |

hypothetical: What would it cost to get into Nick Ritchie territory? I know he's been rising up draft boards. Just seems like the kind of guy they want on G and Jakes wing.
Would 17 and Laughton get it done? It'd be fantasic if you package 17 and Hartnell and make that move. |

I'd trade our first, second and Raffl to get into the top 4, but none of those teams are gonna take that. |

Now imagine not having to even give up a first.... that's how nuts Feaster was in '02... from 4 down to 34. |

But our roster is full of young forwards, and three defenseman who have never played in the NHL does not make it an organizational strength. |

Flyers organizational depth is worse off at LW than D in my opinion. |

Good point, but when it comes to prospects, not roster players, but prospects, they are much deeper at D than anywhere else. I would rate our top prospects as:
1. Laughton C
2. Morin D
3. Ghost D
4. Hagg D
5. Stolarz G
6. Alt D
7. Cousins C/W
8. Alderson W
9. Lauridsen D
10 Leier W
1 goalie, 4 forwards and 5 dmen and, outside of Laughton, none of the forwards listed are projected to ever be more than 3rd liners at best. And even Laughton is most likely going to be a strong 3rd liner, who can maybe step up into the top 6 now and then. There is a real lack of highly skilled forwards on that list.

The Flyers are simply tragic at LW -- no organization has everything, but there is tragedy on the left side at the moment |

What are the expectations for Laughton by you the fans if he were to play a full season with the Flyers?
Third line center or fourth line center?
Will he score 20? Heck, are you confident he can score 10?
Will he be instantly inserted on the PK?
I only ask because if he can just simply step in, there is a certain level of role he'd have to fill. Roles do change over the course of a season. They can become bigger, small or just different. Brayden Schenn was a penalty killer early in his first season as a Flyer until he broke his foot blocking a shot. He hasn't really seen the PK since. I think he saw it once oe twice this year since breaking his foot.
I do understand Scott Laughton is a different case with a different expectation. |

4th liner
See above answer
No, but I'm confident he'll score 10
Yes
I think Schenn doesn't kill penalties not because he broke his foot, but just simply speaking, other people came onto the team who were placed higher up on the pk depth chart, like Raffl and Hall

4th line center, some PK time ~ 14 min a night
that would be a solid first year
I think with the French guy, Laughton and Raffl they have the makings of a very useful 4th line like you see on the top teams |
