Any of you guys dug into the Hawks schedule?

Blues have more longer road trips than home trips and from Feb 26 to March 24, the Blues play 11 of 14 on the road. Not exactly loving that for the seeding/playoff push but whatever.

that is the entire reasoning on their end....and here is Columbus...with a player who says he wants out, and they are able to get proabaly just what they need until Rychel's ready...a disturber, who would have thunk it?

Hawks have 7 in a row on the road and then an 8 game homestand...not exactly great either...Schedule is (frank)ed if you ask me..but I'm sure all the East coast teams are fine

Yeah, he was amazing to watch. I asked on the Sabres thread earlier today if he goes in as a Sabre or Red Wing.

I always thought of him as a Blackhawks
If I was choosing for him he would be going in as a Sabre, despite winning a few Cups with the Wings

Hawks have the 6 game Circus Trip, then 2 at home, then 4 more on the road - so 10 of 12 on the road.

The 7 road / 8 home is the Ice Capades trip in February.

Can he pick his international team instead? if so, that wouldn't necessarily surprise me.

@MarkLazerus: Toews said he and Kane have been texting a bit about their contract situations. Said they've been "hand in hand" their whole careers.

Umberger requested the trade. I believe Hartnell had an NMC and waived it. BJs look like more of a contender than the Flyers the next few years.

Hartnell will help Columbus. Good move for them IMO.

Hi John,
Thought I'd say Hi while I'm at it -- don't let the jerks/detractors deter you from the great job you do here making a home here for all of us!

It's really unfortunate people can be so petty, so jealous that they drag your good name through the mud but almost any sane person should quickly realize they're after making a name for themselves and use your blog to benefit.

Hope all is well with you -- maybe I'll be able to catch up with you at a Jackets game during the upcoming season.

Home? This place is becoming more like "Modern Family" with all the Metrosexuals and stuff. Not that there is anything wrong with that.

I don't think it's a bad move for C-bus at all. If they get to the playoffs, Hartnell will help. My question was how it makes sense for Philly. Do they have any compliance buyouts left? If they were facing cap uncertainty before, they're in the same spot since the salaries are almost the same.

Forgot they bought out Briere AND Bryz. Guess they are ridin' w/RJ for the next three years.

umberger is a SLUG and unless Phily buys him out then Hextall is following in the footsteps of his predecessor with boneheaded deals for washed up players that other teams dont want anymore (Lecavalier)...Hartnell is a far more effective player and this move just doesnt add up.....

Hartnell gives them a presence with Johansen and the other youngsters......i like this move by the BJ's.......they've done a nice job building that team from the ground up.

Philly has no compliance buyouts left. Umberger has two less years left on his contract than Hartnell.

Maybe that was the motivation?
