Surely Vancouver could do better than this:
@Eklund: Trade Rumor: Reimer, Kadri and a pick for Kesler and prospect? http://t.co/4RxaVjvuXM |

He might as well stay in Vancouver rather than going to Toronto.

Kesler to the Blackhawks has jumped to 1st place at 30% on the rumor chart - mrpaulish
He also has the Hawks at 30% on Derrick Roy and Devin Setaguichi.

Happens all the time - even with lotteries - even in Chicago - witness, Jerry Krause gutting the team after Jordan, insuring several 15/17 win seasons, to improve draft position and have cap space for the Grant Hills and Tracy McGradys who never came here.
Unfortunately, Krause couldn't draft either: Marcus Fizer, Chris Mihm, Dalibor Bagarich, Eddy Curry, Tyson Chandler.... - StLBravesFan
I'm sorry, who did what now? |

Which one of you clowns was at "The Tracks" in downtown Cary yesterday? I overheard a conversation that could only have been from someone who reads here regularly. |

Wasn't me. My plate was filled with Pagan rituals and such yesterday. |

Any net minders of note? We seen to have a lack of quality depth at this key position. |

Do you guys sign Brad Richards as an option for the 2C spot without having to deal assets? |

I've thought about that, one of the major considerations is the type of deal Richards would accept. If he accepts a cap friendly deal that requires little (ie Rozsival) or no assets to be moved then maybe.
Ideally Kesler is a much better 2C, there's no question of that. But Sharp would likely need to be moved to make the cap space. We also have to consider that the return for Sharp would be.
So the question becomes what is better, Kesler plus the return for Sharp or Richards and Sharp? It's almost impossible to answer without knowing the return for Sharp. |

Very true. At this stage of his career I would have to think that he can't possibly be expecting top dollar. To come play for arguably the best team in the league and likely have another crack at the Cup he might sign a cap-friendly deal.
Kesler is no doubt the better option, but he'll (obviously) cost you. I think it could be an intriguing opportunity, but I suppose it would hinge on Sharp's market value. |

Year after year, he hits on projected draft picks
That's a weird way to get information, but if it works.... |

Acquiring Kesler would probably trigger 2 separate deals - Sharp to a contender to clear cap space, and the package going back to Van. |

This is a trade I am 100% behind, simply because it allows for Phil Kesseler:

Did the Pens TANK to get Mario ? Looks like it. Great piece by TSN's Michael Farber http://www.tsn.ca/VideoHu...collection=72&show=385298 - philco28
I remember Cleveland fans holding up signs that said "Lose one more for 7 foot 4" when Ralph Sampson was a senior in college. Honestly, I would be surprised if the Pens didn't avoid putting themselves in the position to win some games. |

I'm hoping the Hawks draft the Goalie from BC- Thatcher Demko?!!!?! Think so.
Anyway, Hawks could use a goalie in the system, he's easy to track good enough for me. Plus I don't think Julius Honka will be there for the Hawks.
I'l watch them once at Prospects camp ( If I'm in town) and then store their names away….. As long as the Hawks keep them coming…..I'm good. |
