You could fall asleep or read hockeybuzz during the soccer match. Try doing that during a root canal!

That's what happens when you start talking soccer.
- Ogilthorpe2

It is something that actually happens unlike Kesler coming to the Hawks.

Quite the gag job by the boys from the states today...victory was theirs and they stopped playing D...an epic F'up.

Germany will crush 'em.

Ogi will probably DVR the game so he can go back after and analyze it.

Let us know how that turns out. With or without anesthesia?

Michael Bradley had a serious brain cramp. Kick the (frank)ing ball down the field.

It's not about the draft it's about trades at the draft
- mrpaulish

And next, what movement with F/A starting July 1. After the initial top signings, a couple more trades may occur.

I bet that the offers for Kesler aren't all too good, after all, come draft day. Unless there is a stupid GM to be baited. Kesler has maybe two good seasons in top form left after the rigors on his body from his style over the years. Kesler is probably good for at least one long stint on the injured list as well. Vancouver does well to extract two valuable assets in a trade. A prospect and a 2015 #1 would be good compensation for Canucks!

I always love seeing Bettman go to the podium. You know it is a trade I'm hoping for a lot of excitement but every year it always seems like a lot will happen but not many do. I'm hoping this year is different.

Yeah how quickly boos go to excitement I'm in the minority but I like bettman. He is really good at playing the crowd at times

There's always a lot of hype for draft day trades but it rarely comes to fruition. I think the biggest drama on Friday will be the order in which the second half of the first round goes. There could be guys ranked 15-20 available at #27 and that may have an impact on what Stan does (or doesn't do).

Seems to be injured a lot last two seasons. Will want to play well and pile up some points. To do so he will go to dangerous areas and he is around the net a lot anyway. Likely gets banged up and injured. Maybe not long term injuries; who knows how he might hold up!

I wouldn't either. But that is a smart asking price for Vanc.

Last year I wanted Hartman but I didn't think he would last at #30. I figured he would go around 22 or 23. Damn it was scary with each pick from 20 on. Yeah you never know who will fall to us. This year I think targets like bleackley, kempe, and sanheim will go around 20-25.

And I am curious where Kevin Hayes turns up. With Hayden in the system I would guess that eventually one of them looses out on a job in Chg. Of course we will wait to see if both advance to NHL. But K Hayes should grow up for a year or two in the AHL. I do not know that his skating is now NHL worthy or if it ever could be. I leave it up to the AHL eyes and or Wiz to tell us about Hayes' progress - if he signs here. Just wait and see if Calgary is truly interested in him. Reunite with Gadreau? I believe Calgary new GM will be wise to Hayes' shortcoming, but in a few days we might get an answer.

Is Hayes trying to bs his way into a healthy (big) contract. He will loose out if he is dreaming of a pie in the sky. JMHO

I like what I've seen so far from that kid. Watched some Rockford games mainly for the D, along with centers--to a lesser degree, but Hartman was noticeable every shift.

Yeah I didn't see many rockford games until the end of the year when hartman came up. He really was noticable and looked good with danault (who elevated his game down the stretch) those 2 were a force together and should have big years in the ahl this year. Johns also looked good in limited viewing

Wouldn't that be something if we had two Rockford kids and an NHL veteran form a very good late season and playoff line? Like the Kings did. Only maybe the Chg version would not be as high scoring.

Nope. Not a Q thing to do

Apparently we need Jeff Carter and the 8 years left on his contract. ......
- UnnamedSource

Jeff Carter has his name on a contract and 2 of the last three Cups. That's what it's really about, right?

Or is it about policing the comments on my blog for no negativity toward the front office?
