Agreed ... Including pittsburgh ... Need to atleast explore the fleury market ... Or a buyout... - Brianandr1
Pittsburgh needs to have a clear prospect lineage or a stopgap such as Brodeur for a year or two before we simply buy his contract out.
If Pittsburgh goes super young like I want them to, Fleury's cap hit won't be a burden past this season, and his being on the roster doesn't mean that he needs to play 55 games.
Maybe they go for the shot on the long side of the board and sign Ray Emery or Gustavsson. |

Neal and a 3rd to Arizona for Shane Doan and Jordan Martinook.
Kunitz to COL for Jamie McGinn and G Sami Aittokallio/3rd round pick.
Letang to WPG for Evander Kane, Tomas Kubalik.
Acquire, if possible, draft selections for the negotiating rights to Orpik, Stempniak, Jokinen, Gibbons, Niskanen.
I could care less if Sutter is retained or signs an offer sheet. I think the picks may be better for Pittsburgh depending on Sutter's asking price. - Johnny Wrath

Ok so after these trades... what would your lineup be? I mean, you still have to factor in line combinations and what not, what do you have? |

wont buy out fluery like they wont buy out scuds. trade wouldn't bring back a better option in goal and FA options willcost as much or more than fluery and non are better, inlcuding miller. best to ride out the last year and see whats up next off season |

At least the Flyers try, as of right now the Penguins as an organization can not say the same. |

All of the shennanigans going on wouldn't upset so much if they were truly rebuilding. But seeing as this is considered more of a "retooling" I feel like we're going to waste at least two more years of Sid and Geno's careers. Outside of a handful of D prospects and Jarry there's not much to look forward to. |

He is the top UFA D-man on the market. The closest to him is Boyle, who is 10 years older. |

I d rather have miller at 6 then fleury at 5 ... He is a significantly better goaltender ... One bad playoff series against the top offensive team in the league ( lit up la as well ) means nothing ... The sabres were terrible last season... Gave miller zero support ... As bad as they were miller kept them in games... Fleury is not the reason the pens lost to the rags, but the pens are not winning a cup in 2015 with him in net ... It's time to move on...
On the roster: if the pens want scuderi, fleury, Adams and megna on the ice next season then they might as well have kept bylsma and shero... Why was jr brought in if not to clean up this mess whatever it takes. A forth line of
Gibbons goc megna
Adams Harry z
Is not getting it done ... Look at the rags and the kings ... Use the cap space to fix the bottom six ... Goc yes ... But explore poulliot, ott , Brian Boyle ... |

If someone is willing to take MAF off us for 1 more yr at 5mil, then someone else is willing to pay the rest of the FA Goalies 5+, MAF staying is the most practical and responsible thing to do. Just bringing in an older goalie (Miller) at equal quality and greater pay is not a better option IMO.
If Umberger can fetch Hartnell, I am really curious as to what Neal could bring back. |

miller hasn't proven anything and is older and not gonna age well. thankfully one of JR's good moves was supporting MAF improvement from 2 years ago to last year. st. louis almost lost out the end of their season with miller. yuck. I'd rather have seabass and sebastion caron back.... ok... a little sarcasm there. spending more on goalies is not the answer. the ironic thing... I expect fluery to be the cream of the goalie crop next year and make some decent money somewhere... heres hoping he does a kovalov (or more recently a nisk) and plays out his mind on a contract year |

I'm not paying a goalie 6+M a year for a 2.50 GAA and a .915 save% in the playoffs. You can get that production a lot cheaper somewhere else |

St Louis lost there last 8 games of the season and played the second best team in the league in the first round. Buffalo was terrible last season, gave him zero support.
Miller >fleury and it's not close. |
