1. I know this is pretty much a given, but my friend is golfing with Tocchet in Roethlisberger's charity golf outing today. Tocchet confirmed that he'll be an assistant for the upcoming season. Just thought I'd let you guys know.

2. Haha, get this. When my friend asked Tocchet who he's going to be assisting, Tocchet smiled and told him Babcock.

3. I laughed and said "In Detroit?" and he said no, Pittsburgh.

EDIT - I'm just the messenger, no shooting please.

How dare you come in here and share some information you got, not like this is a hockey msg board or anything; very disappointed in you sir.

Keep your pretty interesting information to yourself!!!!

We have some people that have been on this site for about 2 weeks that will be highly offended by this.

Nice to see Lindros not make it in

I knew Rob Blake was a hell of a player, didn't really consider him a 1st or 2nd ballot HOF'er though

still a deserving inductee

Haha I'm not offended. Just making a joke. It's definitely interesting but its pretty sketchy source. Here is some more fuel to the fire...who could this be about?

“I had a couple of guys that I considered top candidates who did not interview originally,” Rutherford said. “The reason was because I believed they were committed elsewhere and weren't available. Since then, I've contacted them to see if they have that commitment. Those are guys I'm going to be talking to.”

Lindros had four very good years, not HOF worthy.

Hate to see JJ go, I thought he was a very solid consistant player that can play anywhere in the lineup. I hate to see how much he will make on the market. If he is signed for 3.5 or less, JR should not be a NHL GM.

Funny thing is, If Lindros was a better "pro" and did more for the game as short as his career was I could possibly support his induction

I will look past "pure stats" on a players candidacy, (Of course they still have to have "HOF worthy numbers" if I feel they were also an "ambassador" to the game, or changed the way the game was played

Lindors' career of putting himself before the team and the NHL on too many occasions sours me on him

i am still not sure why they havent been traded for picks... even 4th or 5th rd picks can be traded again if another deal comes in... especially when pens dont have 2nd or 3rd....

find out what teams they would like to play for and trade.. kinda like staal... now I know the return wont be as good... oh wait our new GM was the other guy

Really, Shero should have had the foresight to lock him up last offseason, We obviously knew what we had and he was extremely versatile in our lineup

Bet we could have had 3 years 9 million

I loved on his on ice interview after the goal he mentioned he was a free agent and maybe he'll get more money now, or something to that effect

I said before, not sure if true or not but JJ was the only Pen to score a rebound goal. His rebound against the Rags was a pretty steep angle and not an easy goal by any means, but the Pens don't score too many junk goals when needed.

I remember it as a weird/funny comment
