Look at what Wpg is already paying their own crappy goalie.

One overpaid sh*tty goalie is enough.

They would have a harder time trying to dump Pavelec than we would unloading MAF even with his higher price tag.

Fleury is not crap ... Top 10 regular season goalie ... But again not winning a cup with him ... Chris how much do you think hiller is getting and from whom?

Miller at 6.50 is better then fleury ... And get real who is giving hiller 4.5 ??? Reimer at 2.5 ... Where do we sign??? As opposed to 5 for fleury...
- Brianandr1

So a goalie at 6.5 who's pretty average career wise in the playoffs, a goalie who was pulled in the playoffs in favor of a rookie, and a goalie who's only playoff experience is blowing a 3 goal lead in a game 7?? I have no problem exploring options other than Fleury, but none of them this offseason are in any way appealing.

I think a potential fit in the top 6 that is a UFA is Radim Vrbata. He is a 30 goal scorer and has put up some nice numbers on a defense first team. Yes he is 32 but a short term 2 year 7 mil deal could make sense for the short term. Just a thought.

No, it's not just the Chicago series. He made the playoffs 4 other times and has a CAREER .915 save %, which is only a few points better than Fleury.

1. I know this is pretty much a given, but my friend is golfing with Tocchet in Roethlisberger's charity golf outing today. Tocchet confirmed that he'll be an assistant for the upcoming season. Just thought I'd let you guys know.

2. Haha, get this. When my friend asked Tocchet who he's going to be assisting, Tocchet smiled and told him Babcock.

3. I laughed and said "In Detroit?" and he said no, Pittsburgh.

EDIT - I'm just the messenger, no shooting please.

Sorry to spin it back atcha Error12, but a friend of mine plays racquetball with Blashill, and apparently he's upset that Bylsma is likely to be hired by Babs next season. Potential rival to the succession. If Thunder Dan gameplans all the Pens weaknesses for the Wings he certainly would earn some consid.

Playing in front of an all-star team doesn't count. And the Sabres were in the playoffs in 2010 and 2011, including winning their division in 2010.

That's fine. Ask the Blues fans how much they like him. Fact is if I'm going to spend 6.5 for a goalie, it better be a sure thing, not a question mark. Right now, Miller is a ?

blues fan very much disliked miller as not does the organization. They signed Elliot in the offseason because they feel he is a better fit than Miller. Only way I would like miller is at 4 mil or less, which is unlikely so pass on him.

Miller is not quick, rask or hank .. But he s a top notch goalie... You can base your opinion on 20 game sample size. .. I think it's ridiculous. ... Whatever it does not matter... Let me get this straight we should go with fleury next season even thought we know he won't being us a cup lololololol ... Why not just bring back the whole 2014 team then using your logic ... Sorry I forgot hiller is getting 4.5 million from whom?
You ve also failed to address:
1) the whole team collapsed against a team that won 2 cups in 4 years.
2) better number then fleury even though playing for a far inferior team
3) most inportantly winning a cup is obviously not important
To you ... Even pens fans that defend fleury say he d not a winning a cup..

If they amnesty fleury or trade him .. Trade scuds they save 8 plus mil in cap space ... Miller at 6.5 plus despres salary for the year and they are already a better team... With 14 million to improve the bottom 6

Funny, you talk about winning a cup, but Fleury is the only goalie in that group that has actually won a cup. What I'm saying is that bringing in a goalie at 6.5 will not help this team, unless he is a top notch goalie. Right now, Miller is not a top notch goalie. Is rather have the extra 1.5 mil to help bolster the bottom 6, because Miller is not that much of an upgrade over Fleury.

Are you intentionally impersonating Justin Beiber? Your name calling and word cutting is annoying. I would intentionally give up the puck to put you in the boards.

Was referring to buffalo but if your talking St. Louis they lost 13 of there last 15 games of the season including playoffs ... Was that millers fault?

Lol ... Watching a Ton of buffalo games the past few years... This is a little like trying to explain to hockey canada fans how good Kunitz is and how much he brought to the table apart from Crosby ... Unless your like us pens fans you don't really get it. ... I feel like it's the same arguement with miller ... If you watched as many sabre games as I have over the last few years you recognize very clearly this is an excellent goalie on an especially putrid team ... Again ask the buffalo fan s what they think of miller...

Even if you don't like miller, hiller can prob be had at 2 - 2.5 mil ... Unless Chris tells us who is giving him 4.5 ... Riemer at 2 / 2.5 is better then fluery at 5 ... There are options even if we disagree on miller

Once again you come back to goalies who have never been successful in the playoffs. The only move right now I would be happy with doing is trading Fleury to San Jose for Niemi. He would be slightly cheaper, and a culture change might do him good.
