It's really hard for me to agree on that given he was #1 in the entire NHL in QOC. Is he really "Lucky" shadowing Crosby, Malkin, Stamkos all night? No one else could be a +, but he's got the toughest minutes and is +19 late in the season. - RogerRoeper
i dont think you are getting what I am saying..its fine
I dont value Dion as a stop pairing D. you do

It was another clue for the more prominent sleuths.
I am going to be the first with a Toews sweater, only I am going to spell it Taves and put it on the wall beside my Brett Farve jersey.

5yr contract for a 3yr contract. I dunno - PinkSock
There's variables to this trade, but I'm not sure which one we are really looking at.
1. Hartnell was only a top line player because Giroux made him one. They will replace him from within the organization and RJ will play 2nd or 3rd line.
2. Hartnell's antics became even more distracting off ice and in the locker room. It's a Mike Richards/Jeff Carter Scenario all over again.
3. This is setting up another trade. |

This was my guess.
I floated it on the Flyers thread, but didn't seem to get any strong agreements or disagreements.
Flyers fans seem to hate this trade. I'm kinda thinking it's pretty even. |

Maybe so, but they have 10 forwards, 6 D and 1 G all signed for next year.
When removing Prongers hit (because he won't return), they had about $63M committed and they only had to resign Brayden Schenn and a backup goalie.
Their capspace looked fine to me. |

I hope Nonis goes hard after Florida's pick. Leafs picking 1st would help the fans forget the colossal bed poopting that has taken place over the last 2 years...
IF Florida really wants Phaneuf and the Leafs give up #8, even if takes another prospect to sweeten the pot they should do it. |

Agreed. He was, in my opinion, the best on CBC. Second was Hrudy. |

hell yeah they should. If the deal doesn't need the 8th, even better, but I doubt we get the #1 pick without putting our #8... Phaneuf & the 8th should be & IS more than enough. Maybe a slight overpayment, but whatever. Whoever we pick with 8th won't be ready right away, opposed to the #1 pick, and we aren't rebuilding. A few more tweaks and we could compete imo, especially in the East (which is weak) |
