His first year of NCAA he was one of the youngest players in college hockey (did ok). In his 2nd year he was one of the leading scorers for a defensive team that could have a solid chance at making the Frozen 4 next year (he was also invited to the World Juniors camp last year which should count for something). We are hoping we see some signs next year that he can become a full time pro (shows flashes but not consistent enough yet). Still a wait and see player.

The Jankowski pick was definitely a reach, but Feaster may have made up for it in drafting Sieloff and Gillies in the 2nd and 3rd rounds, and the 2013 draft looks to be extremely solid with Monahan, Poirier, Klimchuk and to a lesser extent, Kanzig.

Hard to fault Feaster's drafts, other than passing on Maata (though so did 20 other teams) and reaching for Jankowski, he did an ok job for the Flames. Realistically, we knew once Burke rolled into town, Feaster was on his keester, but overall, considering the absolute MESS Sutter left for him, it's hard to fault a guy that clearly wanted to re-build 2 years before ownership came around to the idea.

Meddling owners may have set the franchise back farther than the people they hired to make the hockey decisions...

I'm curious on how many Flames games you watch per year? outside of Flames vs oilers games I probably watch about 6 oilers games and about 70 flames games. My opinion is reading blogs and looking at stats does not contribute to the knowledge of a team.

Like people are like oh mike richards is washed up. He is only playing 10 minutes a game and isn't producing at a rate that he was. The thing is if you watched him play you noticed him every time he was on the ice. He played great when he was on the ice and it was sutter who opted to utilize his other players instead.

I personally enjoyed watching the oilers lose for quite a while but I'm done with it. Oilers need to start doing good.

However, my focus has switched to enjoying the canucks starting to lose.
