4 years at 19million. But he is going to want and get more.
I just don't think the way he plays and he isn't a super skilled player that he should e getting a 6 million cap hit. I think the whole leadership thing can be overrated sometimes. But i know some team will play. Not saying he is a bad player just more a super role player then super elite player. |

Precisely why I said no thanks. We have a player like him in Hartnell whose been traditionally a more reliable scorer anyway and comes in at under 5 million.
Whoever signs Callahan is going to regret it big time. Not worth more than what Hartnell makes and anything longer than 5 years for a player like that is just retarded. |

My buddy was lucky enough to get like 6 of them. They supposedly went really, really fast. I actually think all tickets for both days were gone in under 2 hours or something wild like that. |

If Vinny goes back in the deal I would give him close to what he's looking for within reason. ie under 6.
Vinny & Grossmann for Callahan and a 4th would open up some cap room for us to sign Callahan and a guy like Fayne.
Probably unlikely Tampa goes back to Vinny though. |

Callahan is tough, because he's a heart and soul guy that wants to get paid on that.
I don't think he's going to age well, as a player.
Actually, the team that could use a guy like him is the Pens. |

definitely. i would love him. but realistically. its just not feasible.
i understand the market is definitely in favor of the players right now, and all of his leadership and what not.
but breaking 6 mil for him long term. that just is ridiculous. i'm sure hell get it from someone. but i just cant justify it. |

I am thinking Hextall already knows what Vinny is thinking and maybe we see something at the draft. They need to really taek care of this first so they can contruct the lineup. just my opinion. - J35Bacher
We may have to be prepared for the possibility that they may not be able to move him this summer. |
