Umberger has a cap hit of 4.6.
Hartnell for 4.75

Hartnell has 5 years left and I believe Umberger has 3?

So essentially the same cap hit, for 2 years less of a worse player.
I am not a fan of Hartnell to the extreme I have often been the first to call him out for being inconsistent in the most basic parts of his game. I think he and his contract have faults.

However Umberger... Blah
Columbus GM to me took on a couple more years to get the better player. Again, I'd be cool with it but don't like taking Umberger back.

After the resigning of B Schenn, does anybody like the Hartnell trade more?

In 2 years, the flyers will have to resign Couturier, Voracek and B Schenn.

If necessary, they can buyout Umberger at that point and only have to pay 1.6m for that year.

More flexibility, more options, more better

That depends on if the team trading for them, agrees to keep in place. Technically when a player is traded, all movement clauses are voided. But players can request that the clauses in their deals are kept intact, as part of agreeing to accept a trade.
