Ok I respect that but considering if he was a ufa he would get interest from 29 teams in the NHL means hes a hot commodity they dont grow on trees. He may be 1 mil a year overpaid no big deal.
Nonis isnt going to trade him for the sake of trading him or he would have been fired already. He will only trade him of the return is fair of a top 2 D.
And if no one pays it hes a leaf.

Well if he is a UFA and not RFA its all up to the player maybe he said no thanks I want out and want to test UFA to see how much i can get or go straight to a cup contender. The reason any player likes to go to UFA.
