As always, solid!
I want Reinhart, I have since the start of the season. I believe he will be the best player from this draft. But if Murray and co. choose differently, I will cringe a bit, but trust they know what they are doing. - ImThatGuy
Yes, I hope Buffalo does that. Take the possibility of us passing on Reinhart and leaving the most talented player in the draft for Calgary out of our hands! |

nothing wrong with reinhart at all...I think he'd be a great pick...not sure it matters too much this year as the past two drafts set up this one rather nicely |

I agree. I just think they shouldn't pass up a guy with the hockey sense he has. And for everyone that's concerned about his skating, Devine said he's a pro level skater. He doesn't have breakaway speed, but he's more than adequate. |

New blogger is crushing it.
Re: 2nd overall, I'm pretty stoked on either Sam..can we lose?
I'm curious though, who's the one that will beast on the power play, and win big draws late in the game? We haven't had that in a while...so yeah, which one is better in the dot? |

I hope you are right about Bennett. The Flames would love to have Reinhart. |

He played more than half of his career games here in Buffalo. He also won pretty much all of his awards while here. He just didn't get the big prize while here. |

I cant imagine what EDM would do if both Reinhart and Draisatil were sitting there at 3. |

If I were a betting man, I'd stay as far away from predicting this draft as I could.
My head says Reinhart, my heart says Bennett and my gut says Draisaitl.
If skating is of utmost importance to Buffalo - and it very much should be (see: Grigorenko, Mikhail) - then I feel it's Bennett all the way.
Draisaitl's skating leaves a bit too be desired, from what I've seen. He's strong as an ox - powerful, even - but looks like he's skating in quicksand, and he has that very wide stance, ala Grigo. Very soft hands though, yikes.
Reinhart's skating needs work, but I don't think it hinders him at the next level, especially with some work with Dawn Braid. Hockey IQ-wise, how do you pass a guy like this up, if available?
Although, as split as we on Hockeybuzz are about this, I'm positive that Murray and Co. have their man, and that's good enough for me.

MacT's head would explode and they'd pick Tsujimoto. |

Correct me if I am wrong, but I was under the impression its not like baseball, that you dont go in the HHOF with a specific team. |

Buffalo should take Draisaitl. Big center who picked up a ton of points playing alongside worse players than Bennett or Reinhart. He has more upside than the Sam's. |

I would think it would be Bennett. But who knows the top 5 are all good.
You will get a solid player no mater what. |

That's true.
Although it's going to take a hell of a package to get any of those picks |
