I totally disagree with regard to Reinhart. It's like settling to marry someone you don't have that lovin' feeling for just for the sake of not being alone. That seems like something Darcy would do. I think he is a disappointment waiting to happen if the Sabres take him. The Sabres already have Hodgson and Grigorenko who can't skate, now draft Reinhart and three of their top 6 forwards will be slower than the 2nd coming of Christ.

I don't think Reinhart is a "great" skater but I'd say he's better than Grigorenko and Hodgson who are for the most part considered slow players.

Throw a kid who doesn't deserve to be there to the wolves and watch him suffer.

Sign Callahan to a 7 year deal

Pick up a roster player via trade


The latter seems much better for us. And Johansson could definitely be part of the future. This team needs speed badly and having him on the third line a few years from now would be pretty good.

You'd also hope that the 13th pick plays a big part of the future team.

And in the sabres interview with him, one of the scouts brought it up and asked him what he thinks of those observations.

It's a genuine concern about him (not one that I buy but it's out there).

I do think they could get a 1st for Hoff but in the 20-29 range.

Why is the only UFA we can sign gotta be a 7yr deal for Cally?
How about someone like Boyle, etc
Why can't we sign a low level UFA is all we are doing is "filling a roster spot"

Would you rather have Brian Boyle or Marcus Johansson? I'd think most GM's would take the latter. His age fits the rebuild timeline as well.
