Dallas, good point Mental - Irish 14
I think chicago would want him, I don't know if they could afford him, unless they move someone like bickell.
Dallas to me is the frontrunner, he goes back to a place where he is comfortable, and would play behind seguin on the depth chart. |

Not sure if you'll see this but...that was a great read. Thanks for posting it. Obviously his GM is gonna talk him up a bit but WGR pointed out a great thing as well. His individual point percentage last season was 91% which is ridiculous. For those that don't know what that is, it means he had a goal or an assist on 91% of the goals scored while he was on the ice. That's insane. - DWE-74_29
I didn't know about the point percentage. Now that makes it more interesting.

The only reason I didn't list them. Is I wonder if Yzerman would bring him there, they had so much youth come up and contribute last year, and still several more players that either are ready or will be ready soon to make the jump to the NHL. Idk if he would want to hamper their progress.
To me, that is the one team that should be very interested in talking to the sabres about ehrhoff. |

I think if he takes a pay cut, he could end up in Anaheim. Being out of the limelight and in a second line role, could be beneficial for him. Anaheim wants Kesler and Spezza, but with the price for those two probably being high signing him could be beneficial. |

Ppl are putting WAY too much stock in how these guys "skate"
If that was high on Murray's list,
He never would've traded for Fasching
Reinhart skates way better than him
I'm not trying to say its not important, but let's not go overboard either
There's many factors that will determine Murray's choice |

Thinking about this more - trading Myers open's up many options and in return more opportunities for Risto, McCabe and Zadorov and Psysk (possibly Ekblad). I have gone on record with my frustrations with Myers, he did improve somewhat last year toward the 1st of the year. But if he get's us Edmonton 3rd overall pick this year (plus a Buffalo 2nd Rd pick). We get 2 future #1 forwards - either Reinhart, Draisaitl or Bennett? |

I know highlight tapes should be a very small factor in draft day decisions, but Draisaitl's tape is so impressive. I like him better than both Sams but I think he is the most risky pick of the 3. - Pierceme69
He gets a bad rep for his skating
I think he skates good for a guy his size
I've seen him go end to end and score. I know its just in juniors, and his size advantage helps, but there's plenty of good skaters...
He'll be just fine in the NHL

Trading Myers is a mistake. Trading him and not getting Ekblad is an even bigger mistake. We will get our other forward next year. |

This post will surprise some, bc it seems they have the impression I hate Myers or something...
NO WAY am I trading Myers for a pick in THIS draft
(Unless Ekblad is available)
Trading myers for a prospect forward isn't what I'm prepared for
Our forward prospects are a lot better than some think
Reinhart\Bennett will be a very good piece for us
And whoever we take with our high pick nextvyear will also help anchor the talented young group of prospects we have
Plus I think the pick from nyi will be really high also

Not necessarily
I'm just saying that "skating" isn't the end all be all
I do personally rate Reinhart ahead bc of his smarts & playmaking
And I love Draisaitl's size
But I think when we break it down, we end up nitpicking certain traits and using that to back our opinion of who we want
All those guys are prob gonna be pretty good |

Final TSN Rankings

this year's crop of forwards is projected more as second liners with defenceman Ekblad perhaps getting "top pairing" billing though not necessarily a future dynamic No. 1. Good, maybe very good, but not necessarily great.
Sounds like what Myers is now. |

"Fasching is a powerful skater with a long stride. He is a natural power forward who has excellent balance and is very tough to knock of the puck. His power and size allows him to fight off checks, and to bulldoze through defencemen off the rush or own the cycle. His top end speed is good, but the acceleration could be improved going forward, especially his first step. " |

Agreed the Minny game I watched he was a force at the front of the net and scored but I wasnt overly impressed with his skating. But I could care less if he parks his ass in front of the net and became anything like Andreychuk or Holmstrom. |

My guy is still Reinhart, but Draisaitl is just so intriguing. I almost wish FLA picks Reinhart so we can get him. |
