He is a defensive stalwart as well.. Ranked 885 in +- this past season. - jak521
He played for Buffalo and they sucked out loud. |

I don't see Hexy paying VL to be a 4rth line center all season. He will be either 2C or traded. Those are really the only logical options. - Deasr1
Traded might not be an option. |

I like Schenn on the top PP unit but I do not like him on Wing. Keep him center and allow him to get better. Right now this is how I see the Flyers Forwards lineup if we can't get rid of Vinny. Berube isn't magically going to be happy with Vinny this year, he will be back in the Doghouse.
Umberger-G-Voracek
Raffl-Schenn-Simmonds
Bellmere-Coots-Read
Rosehill-Vinny-Rinaldo - xShoot4WarAmpsx
I prefer this...
Simmonds - G- Voracek
Raffl - Schenn- Laughton
Umburger - Coots- Read
Bellmare-Vinny-Akeson/McGinn/Rinaldo |

did you even consult the magic 8 ball? i bet you didnt. - Doc_Sarcasm
True, I didn't really have to look. That thing wouldn't even float to the top to answer a question like that. Waste of it's time. Me... I got the time. |

Ott does fill the Hartnell's agitator role. He can take faceoffs, play the pk, etc. I guess he can do a thing or two.
I just don't want to pay him. - johndewar
I prefer not to sign him, but now I can see why we would be linked to him. With Harts and Rinaldo on this team, I didn't see the need. Now, maybe little more. That hopefully mean Coots would be the 2c if VL is moved. I think he is ready for that job. |

If Hexy can trade Hartnell, the worst player in the history of hockey, and acquire a fantastic-skating, two-way standout, goal scoring machine like Umberger, I'm sure he can trade Vinny. |

I am sure it is an option...rather what the price for someone to take him in the hindering aspect. |

It might be a good spot for him, but him at 3C might be better for the team. |

He was also a -15 in 29 games for the Blues...
-15 would have been good for 837th in the league. Stretched out over a full season, thats a worse +- than he had with the Sabres.

I don't see the need for him. If your saying we need an agitator I think we have enough with Rinaldo(if he plays) I would rather have a team toughness. RJ might not drop the gloves like hartnell but it isn't like he shys away from contact. We still have Simmonds. Laughton plays with a chippiness to his game. I just don't see a need for Ott. |

We paid him 4.5 to be 4th line player last season. Berube will structure the lines to give us the best shot at winning and we all know he wasn't a fan of Vinny last season. |

I hope so. I'd still start him as the 4C and earn his way up the roster...assuming he has a strong camp. |

Yes...and Raffl wasnt going to be anything but an occasional fill in at the time of his signing. I like what I saw in limited time for Laughton and I think he has more than enough puck skills to play wing on 2nd line...especially without the pressure to Center it. |
