If they want Lecavalier back now, I don't see how they couldn't get him back now for cheap. - SuperSchennBros
After adding Nyquist, there's not much reason to want him |

Highly depends what happens with the other centers on market. Spezza & Kesler may face a choice between expanding their lists or staying in Ottawa & Vancouver. Thornton has been saying he wants to stay in San Jose. Stastny will cost a ton. Who knows what Richards will take as a UFA after his CBO?
If a team gung ho for Spezza or Richards can't seal the deal, maybe they have interest in Vinny? - Jsaquella
again, not to be a Richard here, but such a GM should be fired before having the chance to orchestrate such a move. |

There was a case last year, where TB would have traded Vinny to Toronto, had the Leafs buy him out and then re-sign him that was nixed. However, it's apparently legal to trade a player to another team and have them use a CBO. He just can't re-sign with old team - Jsaquella
NBA has a similar rule but they make the original team wait a certain amount of time before they can re-sign them. A certain number of months or weeks. The player can, eventually, re-sign though. |

I would like some speed with G to replace Hartnell.
You never know 10 could be moved to improve the blueline!
I would also look into Brian Boyle ..big body who can play responsibly - 3flyerkids
I have all the confidence in the world that Brayden Schenn or any of our youth will be traded this offseason unless it's for an offer that cannot be refused. I'm getting the impression that youth will be getting a fair shake around here, as well as much larger roles. |

That story broke before last season ended, and Bill Daly addressed it immediately. |

I have the soundtrack. It is very interesting. George Martin's son worked on it, I believe with his dad (and others, of course).
That takes so much work.

I don't see why they would prohibit these things. Each team should be able to use their buyouts as leverage in a contract. |

I think grabbing them both would make us a much better team but I'm not really a fan of either guy. I respect what they can do but again, not a fan, especially Vanek. |

Sighhhhhhhh
Ok...so 1) I'm going to respond to people who post at me directly, as you're doing now; and 2) let me explain what I meant by that 85% thing...
I don't get into these big arguments that span 10 pages. Whether it's about Grossmann, corsi, or whatever it is. I just don't argue with people, because I don't feel like doing it. So, I ignore most of the back and forth stuff here. Instead, I post here and have fun. I make puns. I make tongue in cheek joke comments. I post Beatles songs....
See what I'm saying? That's how I roll here. I have fun 85% of the time, and get into those big debates 15% of the time. That's what I meant. |
