Like Iamnotatroll just mentioned, the version they brought up on fan 590 was that with the 3 year rolling system the teams that were the worst during that stretch get put into there own separate lottery ranging anywhere from 1-5, it won't be a straight draw like it was during the crosby draft.

I don't disagree with that, the Derrick Rose draft still has me shaking my head


My main thinking was that even with the supposed changes, it still sure looks like the best way to build your team is tanking and getting towards the top of the draft.

New system makes it more difficult/tricky, but far more effective than signing Stastny, Moulson and Bolland and praying that Risto can turn into a #2 overnight

The draft is the only way bad teams can improve their team. This isn't the NBA the best players don't hit the open market. perhaps the NHL should try to emulate the most successful league in the US, the NFL.

How they have to change the draft so good teams have a shot at top players as well . We need to force team s to win . Now disgruntled ticket holders are calling in . Much like the ones we get in here.
